Thursday 7/01
Sussex West Post 6 Patriots - 5, Lewes Post 17 - 4: The Sussex West Patriots scored one run in the bottom of the 3, 4, 5,
and 6th innings, to finally eke out a win over the scrappy Lewes Post 17
team Thursday night.
Lewes jumped out to an early 1 run lead, then added 2 in the 2nd and
another in the 3rd to take a 4-2 lead. But the Patriots chipped away,
tying the game in the 5th and taking the lead in the 6th on a series of
singles and good base running by Paul Elliot, who scored what turned out
to be the winning run with 2 outs. The Pats loaded the bases, but a long
fly ball to right was caught, ending the threat.
Earlier in the game, Designated Hitter Tyler Troyer doubled, then scored
on Justin Allen's Triple to right. Allen scored on Kagan Yossick's
ground out to first. Troyer hit another double and scored in the third
before coming out in a pitching change.
VFW 3420 Christiana - 8, P ost 25 Middletown Firehawks - 3:
VFW jumped out to a quick three-run lead in the first inning, and
maintained the lead for the remainder of the game. A great
pitching effort by Jamie Tremel held Post 25’s strong offense to five
hits and three runs, and he struck out 10 batters. Tremel also
hit three doubles for VFW, went 4 for 4, and knocked in three
runs. Ryan Haas hit two doubles for Post 25 and scored twice.
2B: Haas-2 (P25), Yermal (P25), Tremel-3 (VFW), Green (VFW)
Fox Post 2 - 10, Sussex East Post 28 Warriors - 0: Fox
Post Two scored 8 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the
lead for good. They scored the 8 runs on 7 hits, with Zach Mawson
having 2 hits, Bryce Morrow Triple, 2 rbi's and Aaron Queen 2 rbi's for
Fox Post.
For the game Matt McClain pitched a 5 hit shutout with 7 k's. Zach
Mawson had 3 hits, Aaron Queen 2 hits (triple), and Tommy Dill also had
a triple for Fox Post. Kevin Guthrie had two hits,
including a triple for Post 28.
Durney Post 27 - 12, R.C. DuPont Post 18 - 4: Tiberi gets the win Magee takes the loss for R.C.
Stahl Post 30 - 5, DE Post 1 - 3 (8): Stahl scored 2 runs
in the top of the 8th on a tie game continued from earlier in the
month. Post 1 couldn't answer and Stahl gets the 8 inning win.
Sussex East Post 28 Warriors - 7, Post 3 Milford Red Sox - 6:
Tuesday 6/29
DE Post 1 - 7, Delvets Post 1 - 3: Tom Crist went 2 for 2 with a triple and an RBI. Rob Jones was 2 for 3
with 2 RBI’s. Al Mersman had 3 stolen bases and scored twice, he went 1
for 3.
VFW 3420 - 3, Post 10 Newark - 2:
Dylan Oakes pitched a complete game striking out 10 and giving up 3 hits.
Matt Aleman, and Jamie Treml each hit solo homeruns for VFW.
Eric Gardner, and Tom Wise had solo homeruns for Post 10.
Post 25 Middletown - 5, R.C. DuPont Post 18 - 0: The
lefties ruled for Post 25 as LHP Ryan Haas tossed a two-hit shutout,
striking out 8 batters, and homered in the second inning. Lefty catcher
Mike Mycek made a difficult, crowd-cheering fly ball catch at the
backstop in the fourth inning, and left-handed right fielder Charles
Brodowski ended the game with an awesome diving catch into foul
territory. Kip Skibicki and Steve Morente both singled for RC.
Fox Post 2 - 6, Spooner Lewes Post 17 - 0: Tommy
Dill pitched a 2 hitter to win the game. Zach Malson Doubled and
scored 2 Runs, Steve Barr hit 2 Singles and scored, 2 Runs Tyler
Walls hit 2 Singles.
Monday's Game was rained out.
Sunday 6/27:
R.C. Dupont Post 18 - 11, Durney Post 27 - 9: R.C. Dupont takes the win at home as Nolan Magee goes the distance for the
win. Greg Rostick bats 2 for 3 with a 3 run homerun and 4 rbis his 3rd
homerun of the season
Lewes Spooner Post 17 at Middletown Post 25 Firehawks:
Game 1: Post 25 - 18, Post 17 - 2 (5): Post 17 jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the
third inning, and added a run in the fourth. Post 25’s bats lit up to take the
lead, which they maintained to win the game behind a strong pitching effort by
Elliott Gardner. 3B: Davis (P17) 2B:
Alexander (P25), Kuhl (P25), Yermal (P25), Reed (P17)
Game 2: Post 25 - 19, Post 17 - 1: Post 25’s offense was
on-target throughout the game, garnering the second win of the day
against Post 17. Shawn Davis went 2 for 3 for Post 17, and hit a
double. Jeff Yermal was 3 for 3 for Post 25 and knocked in two
RBI’s. Brad Alexander had a solid outing on the mound for Post
25, allowing only four hits on the day and one run. 2B: Kuhl (P25),
Haas (P25), Beal (P25), Davis (P17), Reed (P17)

Game 1: VFW 3420 - 8, Post 6 - 0:
Jamie Treml pitched a complete game shutout striking out 17 and only
giving up 1 hit. Matt Aleman was 2 for 4 with 3 rbi's and scored twice,
and
Demetrius Morris was 2 for 4 with a homerun and 3 rbi's.Paul Elliott
was 1 for 3 for Post 6. 2B: VFW, Aleman, HR: VFW, Morris
Game 2: VFW 3420 - 15, Post 6 - 5:
Dennis Masser got the win in relief after Ben Wise pitched
4 strong innings, striking out 5. Patriots. Dylan
Oakes was 2 for 4 with a homerun and 2 rbi's and scored 3 times .

Aleman was 3 for 4 with 3 rbi's, Mark Young was 2 for 4 with 3 rbi's,
and Jamie Treml was 2 for 3 and scored 3 runs.For Post 6, Tyler Troyer

Durney Post 27 - 6, R.C. Dupot - 5 (9):
RC Dupont aviators came back in the top half of the seventh inning to tie
the game on a misplayed doubleby Zack Lopes who had 3 hits and four rbi's for the day. Ty
Hawthorne pitched 8 strong innings giving up only 3 earned runs and striking out seven while walking one. He hit a
two run homer in the fourth inning
Dan Tiberi closed out the ninth which ended up giving him the win. In the
bottom half of the ninth Kyle Maloney led off with a stand up double and scored
the winning run on a Airiane Shankaras walk off 2 bagger.
Post 10 Newark at Fox Post 2:
Game 1: Fox Post 2 - 4, Post 10 - 3: Fox post scored two runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2 run
lead. Danny Gatto and Kevin O'Shea singled in a run each for Fox Post .
In the top of the second inning Post Ten took the lead with 3 runs and
Zach Candeloro tied the game in the bottom of the 4th with a triple for
Fox..
With one out in the bottom of the 7th Zach Mawson had a single and than
stolen second base. Aaron Queen followed with a single to put runners
on first and second. Gary Jones knock in the winning run with a
single. Winning pitcher Danny Gatto had 4K's.
Game 2: Fox Post 2 - 9, Post 10 - 0: Matt McClain pitched a shutout in game two for Fox Post. He gave up 3
hits and had 7K's. Kevin O'Shea had two hits, double and 2 rbi's,
Tommy Dill 3 hits, rbi's and Gary Jones scored 3 runs to lead Fox Post
to the win.
Post 1 - 13, Delvets Post 1 - 6:
Del Vets: Andrew Jones walked twice and scored both
times. Del Vets scored 5 x on 6 hits.

going 4 for 4 with 2 triples and 3 RBI’s. John Castro went 2 for 4 with a
stolen base and scored twice. Rob

RBI’s and scored twice. Jim Wilson had a double and scored he also had an RBI.
