Thursday 7/15
Post 3 Milford - 13, Sussex West Post 28 Warriors - 3 (5): (Georgetown)
With the weather still playing havoc with field conditions, Milford
Post #3 went to SATB and played a "home" game against Post #28.
Zac Moeser took the mound for Post 28 and was later relieved in the
3rd by Brad Walker. They combined to give up a total of 16 hits
over 5 innings. Post 3's potent attack was led by Morgan Lewis
who went 4 for 4 with two singles , a double, and a triple and 4
RBI's. Another key hitter for Post 3 was Nick Grantwho had a base
clearing triple in the first and again cleared them wth a double in the
third inning for a total of 6 RBI's.
George Michael pitched well through 3 and 1/3 before walking two
batters and giving up a 2 RBI double to Matt Cleary and an error helped
to score Cleary later in the 4th inning, scoring Post 28's only 3 runs.
Michael also went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's. Denton Mow came on to
close the game for Post 3 and allowed no runs
Stahl Post 30 - 6, VFW 3420 - 3: (Christiana) Tyler
Fortuna held VFW to 4 hits while striking out 6 for the win. Derrick
May was 2 for 2 with a homerun and a double with 3 rbi's. Matt Aleman
had a solo HR for VFW.
Delvets Post 1 - 12, Durney Post 27 - 9 (8): (Stanton MS) Durney Post came back to tie the game in the seventh after falling behind 9-3 at the end of fifth inning.
Delvets Jimmy Vachris led their comeback with 3 hits including a 2 run
HR, and triple. His 2 run single in the eight was enough to secured the
win for Delvets. Durney's Sam Goines had thre hits including a solo HR.
R.C. Dupont Post 18 - 10, DE Post 1 - 0 (5): (McKean) Greg Rostick bats 3 for 3 with 2 homeruns and 7 RBIs, Brian Manalo also homered and Nolan Magee went the distance.
Wednesday 7/14
Only one team had a dry field to play on tonight, and it took moving the game to the Visiting team's field -
Post 10 Newark - 2, Post 25 Middletown Firehawks - 1: A
pitchers battle through seven full innings as Ryan Haas for Middletown
and Derek Marshallsea for Newark each allowed just one run through the
first seven innings. Newark scored first as Derek Marshallsea reached
on an error, advanced to third on another error and scored on a passed
ball.
Middletown tied it in the fourth as Julius Ryland reached on an error
and went to third on another infield error. Frank Samluk followed with
a double, one of Middletown's three hits to score the lone run for the
Firehawks.
In the bottom of the eighth, Mike Medori singled with two outs, Kyle
Hayman followed with another single, Adam Weiner walked to load the
bases bringing up Derek Marshallsea. Marshallsea worked the count and
provided the winning margin with a walk on four pitches.
Kyle Hayman was 2 for 4 for Newark and Derek Marshallsea went the distance to lead Newark to its fourth straight win.
Sussex West at Fox Post 2 and R.C. DuPont Post 18 at Stahl Post 30 were postponed due to wet grounds. RC and Stahl will try again Friday.

Tuesday 7/13
Post 25 Middletown - 3, Delvets Post 1 - 1: This
game was played in honor of Thomas Pitts, an active member of Del Vets
Post 1, who was killed after his plane crashed Monday. Mr. Pitts
piloted the aircraft that flew Kyle Henn to North Carolina to see his
family after the untimely death of his brother, Nate Henn, who was
killed while on an humanitarian mission in Uganda. As noted in
the line score, both Post 25 and Del Vets played a hard-fought game in
honor of Mr. Pitts.
Even with the low score, Durham (P25), Czacharowski
(DV), Cassidy (DV) all hit doubles in the game
Newark Post 10 - 8, Durney Post 27 - 6:
Durney jumped ahead in the top of the second Joe Bermingham singled and
went to third on a Newark error. Ty Hawthorne hit a sactifice fly
to center to drive in the run. In the bottom of the inning Newark
jumped ahead scoring four runs.
Newark added another in the third as Adam Pugh walked followed by a
single by Derek Marshallsea. Pugh then scored on a wild pitch by
Durney. In the fourth, Durney scored three runs on four hits off Newark
starter Brandon Boles. The rally featured a three run home run by Dan
Tiberi. Newark answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the
inning. Ben Goss reached on an error and scored on a ground ball to
second that resulted in another Durney error. In the bottom of the
sixth Newark again took advantage of a pair of Durney errors to score
two more runs that ended up as the winning margin.
Tyler Husfelt scored once for Newark and had a pair of RBI's. Kyle
Hayman also batted in two. Ben Goss scored three and Adam Pugh scored
twice for Newark.
The Weather has already claimed 3 games today - Post 2 at Post 6 and
Post 1 at the VFW. Stahl & R.C. DuPont will be played tomorrow.

Monday 7/12
Delvets Post 1 - 5, VFW 3420 - 4: Connor
Mchugh picked up the win in relief and Jarad Carney picked up his
second straight save for Delvets. Mike LaPlante hit a triple to knock
in the winning runs.

Sunday 7/11
Spooner Lewes Post 17 at DE Post 1:
Game 1: DE Post 1 - 23, Post 17 - 0 (5): Tucker Kitchengs
threw a 5 inning shut out allowing 2 hits while striking out 6
and walking 2. Post1 scored 5 runs in the first and that started the 23
runs/15 hit outburst..
Sean Newell led the attack by going 3 for 4 with a triple and a two
bagger with 4 RBI’s. Mike Mareno went 2 for 3 with a bases loaded
triple and a total of 4 RBI’s Joe Tunell went 2 for 5 with 3 RBI’s and
J C Para had 2 hits and scored both times he also had 2 RBI’s.
Post 17 Pitcher: Reed took the loss.
Game 2: DE Post 1 - 10, Post 17 - 4: Kevin Pepe won the night cap for Post 1 allowing 4 runs on just 6 hits while striking out 9.
Mike Mareno batted 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, Rob Jones was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.
Newark Post 10 at Sussex West Post 6 Patriots:
Game 1: Post 10 - 8, Post 6 - 4: Post 10 never trailed in
the game, scoring a run early, then scoring 7 more over 7 innings to
win the first game. Alex Woods hit a solo home run in the 2nd inning
and the Patriots never seemed to be able to catch up, despite 2 doubles
from Tyler Troyer, and doubles from Adam Troyer and Justin Allen.
Adam Pugh got the win, scattering 8 hits and 4 runs while striking out 8. Nick Cooper took the loss for Post 6
Game 2: Post 10 - 8, Post 6 - 6: Post 6 took an early 5-0 lead, but Taylor Mahoney's 2 run home run
to right field closed the gap in the 4th and Post 10 tied the game in
the 5th inning.
Post 6 took the lead back in the 6th when Adam Troyer singled home his
brother Tyler who had doubled earlier in the inning, but Post 10 tied
the game up in the top of the 7th, then scored 2 more runs in the 9th
as Mike Medori and Kyle Hayman both scored with 2 outs to notch the win.
For Post 10, Adam Pugh and Eric Gardner both doubled, Tyler Troyer had
2 doubles for Post 6, Justin Allen also doubled in the game for the
Patriots.
